Marina National Night Out 2018

August 7, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

National Night Out is an annual community-building event that promotes our local police-community partnerships to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out encourages the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It also provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August. Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.

And here in Marina, police officers will be holding their event at the city of Marina Public Safety Building. For three hours, officers hope to raise awareness about their numerous police anti-crime and drug prevention programs, and Neighborhood Watch groups. There will be free hot dogs, games and raffles.
