Saturday, July 20, 5 – 8pm, “MARTY’S GOING AWAY PARTY,” A Celebration of the life of Dr. Martin C. Needler, who died on June 15 in Monterey. Dr. Needler (Marty), husband of Jan Knippers Black, was a professor of political science and academic Dean – internationally known as a brilliant scholar and writer, but better known in Monterey as poet, singer, actor, and lifelong activist for peace and justice.

Taking place at the Middlebury Institute’s Irvine Auditorium, 460 Pierce St. (corner of Pierce & Jefferson), Monterey, the program runs 5 to 6pm, followed 7-8pm by reception with Music. Friends and fans are invited. No RSVP expected.
