Surviving the Economic Crisis in Marina
December 21, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
FreeMarina Can Pull Together
Your Marina Chamber of Commerce ran a number of initiatives to help get us through the first and second round of closures this year such as restaurant closure/opening updates, gift card initiatives, buy local campaigns, and more. But this third round is more critical than ever as many of our small businesses were really relying on holiday business in order to keep from going out of business.
Many local businesses invested thousands of borrowed dollars to create outdoor venues to comply with the restrictions only to find out that those venues must be shut down as of December 14, 2020 putting them in even greater debt. Many won’t be able to come back after this.
With the new round of required closures, your Marina Chamber of Commerce is looking at ways we can work together to help our business community survive the crisis, disseminate information, provide resources, and collaborate on a community level.

Save The Date: Monday December 21st @ 9:00 am
The goal of this meeting is to hear from our local businesses owners as to what their biggest struggles are, to hear from community leaders as to what resources are available, and to come up with a plan to help local businesses survive this next round of closures.
We want to give a bigger voice to our local business community to create an opportunity for small business owners to tell the community leaders what they are actually dealing with and what they need the most help with.
We have invited leaders from the City of Marina, CSUMB, and Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce to help us answer your questions and provide potential resources to specific needs. Your local Marina Chamber Board of Directors will be hosting this meeting to see what we can do to help our community come up with a plan to help local businesses survive this next round of closures.
