Serving Those in Need in Marina

The strength of a community is only as strong as its residents. This point underscores the pertinence of adequate and affordable health care services for every citizen, regardless of their socioeconomic status.

To that end, Montage Health has created the new Mobile Health Clinic program, geared toward addressing this need for healthcare delivery to community members who may have limited access to services within Marina and the greater Monterey County.

Providing these services has a significant and lasting effect on the overall health of the community, increases the quality of life for residents and fosters a sense of family within our society.

While the Mobile Clinic has been seen at Walmart on Mondays from 10:30AM to 6:00PM, it will now also be available to all on Wednesdays at Walgreens from 9:30AM to 5:00PM.

How does it work?

This FREE mobile medical clinic will be staffed by a nurse practitioner, other clinicians and volunteers and will provide care for most minor illnesses and injuries, and even deliver visit-related lab work and X-rays!

I’m a freshly immigrated Canadian passionate about both physical activity and the outdoors, and where’s a better place to pursue those interests than alongside the Monterey Bay coastline? My company Monterey Bay Moves was influenced by my own Canadian experience of fitness, and I engineered our services to be close to the community and its surrounding nature. With Monterey Bay Moves it was never just about bringing a workout to those in need — it was also about developing a concept of unique outdoor training programs that would let us make the most of our unique area. I serve on the board of the Marina Chamber of Commerce as Vice-President and on the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce's Economic Vitality Committee.
