We are officially under Shelter in Place orders and although the Monterey Bay Moves team would much rather meet with you in person, we are making the most of this experience and learning to produce awesome group fitness experiences for you via our Zoom virtual workouts.
With that being said, these last few days and the weeks to come will be testing…
-
Some of us have family all over the country and the world; it’s hard to stay connected and feel close when we are not allowed to travel and see them.
-
Some of us are losing or will lose their jobs/wages starting tomorrow due to the Shelter in Place orders
-
Some of us have families who are hospitalized and sick.
-
Some of us have businesses that can no longer sustain our families and those of our staff.
In these times of hardship, we though we would extend a hand and offer you to pay what you can for your group workouts.
Instead of paying $155 for a 10-class pass, you can choose to pay whatever you CAN pay.
This 10-class pass will be valid for as long as we will be doing online classes, therefore a minimum of 3 weeks.
The Monterey Health Department recommends exercising and maintaining a healthy lifestyle during this crisis. You can do so by going on walks and exercising with us online!
You know what’s really fun too? You can actually do yoga or attend any of our fitness classes with your friend who’s on the other side of the country!
All you have to do is go to www.montereybaymoves.ptminder.com and create an account if you don’t already have one.
Then, send me an email at info@montereybaymoves.com with your name and the amount you can pay for your 10-class pass.
No judgement, no questions asked. Promise!

I’m a freshly immigrated Canadian passionate about both physical activity and the outdoors, and where’s a better place to pursue those interests than alongside the Monterey Bay coastline? My company Monterey Bay Moves was influenced by my own Canadian experience of fitness, and I engineered our services to be close to the community and its surrounding nature. With Monterey Bay Moves it was never just about bringing a workout to those in need — it was also about developing a concept of unique outdoor training programs that would let us make the most of our unique area.
I serve on the board of the Marina Chamber of Commerce as Vice-President and on the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce's Economic Vitality Committee.
