2021 has been another challenging year, and we have yet to know what the rest of the year will bring, but we can put our efforts together to create a positive holiday experience for our community this November.

Your Marina Chamber of Commerce is once again encouraging our community to Buy Locally in Marina to help us all make the most of the coming shopping season by supporting our local businesses.

“Buy Local Marina” directly fuels our community, families, and businesses, thereby building a tighter network of trust and partnership for achieving common goals. Shopping locally has significant flow-on consequences. It creates jobs, stimulates the economy, strengthens the community spirit, allows unique local culture to flourish.

‘Buy local’ isn’t just about your business; it is about our community.

Buy Local Marina 2021 Goals

The goal of this campaign is to promote spending within our community.

Did you know that 80% of the city’s income is brought in by approximately 25 businesses or so?

While we want to support our smaller local businesses and Chamber Members, we want to remind you that shopping at the big box chain stores and gas stations also helps support our parks, streets, and schools. So if you love Marina, consider shopping in town rather than in Monterey.

Here Are a Few More Reasons to Buy Locally Here in Marina

Build Community

The casual encounters you enjoy at independent businesses and the public spaces around them nurture relationships, community, cohesiveness, and smiles. They’re the ultimate social networking sites.

Support Your Neighborhood

Each dollar you spend at a local business returns back to building local parks, improving our streets, and so much more.

Gift More Thoughtfully

A thoughtful gift to friends and family shows how much you care. Show our City that you care by buying from local stores in Marina!

Buy Gas Locally

Did you know that buying gas in Marina helps the city maintain parks, streets, schools, and so much more?

Big Box Stores Help Our Local Economy

Major city revenues come from our big box stores when you shop at our local malls. This helps our city maintain parks, streets, salaries for our city staff, and so much more.

Build Back Better Together

Local businesses give our community it’s one-of-a-kind personality. It also employs our neighbors and provides income for our city to put back into our neighborhoods.
