The Monterey Off Road Cycling Association (MORCA) a chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) is hosting Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day.
This local event is part of a nationwide celebration known as Take-A-Kid-Mountain-Biking Day, supported by IMBA. The event purpose is to provide a means for kids and their families to enjoy local trails together via guided trail rides and for kids to practice their skills on our specially designed obstacle courses.

We strongly encourage preregistering prior to Sept. 30th so that we can plan to have enough food and drink for all kids.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

We have activites for kids from preschool age on pedal-less bikes (also known as Strider bikes) to kids in high school.

What can I bring into the event?

You can bring your own lunch and/or snacks, if you prefer. You must bring your bike and helmet. We strongly recommend a water bottle filled with water. Gloves and long pants can prevent minor injuries/abrasions. Parents/guardians should wear hats; there is little shade. Kids might benefit from a hat when not riding. Sunglasses are beneficial, even for kids!

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

e-mail takeakidmountainbikingday@gmail.com

What’s the refund policy?

The event is free so there is no refund, but we hope you will cancel your preregistration if and when you decide not to attend, preferably by Thursday Oct. 4th so that we can adjust our expectations for the food purchased for your free lunch.
