Help! We Need an Event Publisher to Help Us Approve and Publish Submitted Events on Our Website.
With more and more people, businesses, and non-profits using our Marina Community Events Calendar, we need help approving and publishing new events. This usually takes about 30-60 minutes about once per week. Sometimes a little more if there is some minor editing or a follow up email required.
This role would be great for anyone interested in being more involved in the community, with the Chamber of Commerce, or just interested in working in WordPress. One of the things I love about this role, is that you get to learn about all the different events taking place in Marina, and the people organizing them. Also, you have the power to approve events LOL 😛
This can be done on any day of the week, but we just need to be consistent so that users know when the deadline is to submit events for our weekly newsletter. We send it out every Wednesday so it would be great to have all newly submitted events approved and published by end of day Tuesday. But if weekends work better for you, then we can keep the deadline at 5pm on Friday.
Getting Involved In The Community
Many people get involved with their local chamber to help grow their business. This was not the case for me. My choice to get involved was simply because I wanted to get more involved in the community, and work with other business leaders within the community. And this role is a great way to do this without giving up much time in the process.
